General Questions – Registered Nurses

What if I need to speak to someone in the office after business hours?
Our office staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Similarly 365 days a year. In addition when the office is close, there is an on-call person and registered nurses rn available to help you.
Do you provide services to those in nursing homes and assisted living communities?
Yes, we provide companionship. In addition personal care to residents at assisted living facilities. Similarly nursing homes who may need additional attention or care.
Are housekeeping and errand services included?

All caregivers and registered nurses are responsible for performing light housekeeping and also for errand services.

What accommodations are required for a Live-in caregiver?

The caregivers and registered nurses have suitable sleeping arrangements which enable them to receive about eight hours of sleep a night. The caregiver also provides reasonable groceries/meals.

Quality of Care FAQs – Registered Nurses

How do you select caregivers?

All of our caregivers, eg., Registered Nurses have passed a thorough reference and criminal background checks. They are bonded, insured. they are our employees, not subcontractors. We match your specific needs and requests to the skills and background of each caregiver to find the ideal match.

Is there a written plan of care for each client?

We develop a written Plan of Care for each client based on an assessment of his/her needs. In cooperation with the client and family’s representative, we develop the Plan of Care before providing service. The Plan of Care has use in directing the caregiver and Registered Nurses in the delivery of in-home care services. Client reviews the plan of care, after which, the family periodically ensures that the client is receiving the appropriate level of care to ascertain that client is pleased with the caregiver providing the care.

Do you have Registered Nurses on staff?

Yes, all our offices have registered nurses, therefore staff can provide special Home Care Services. In addition we train and oversee our certified aides

What if the Caregiver in the home is not a good match?

Imperial Caregivers tries to get the best match in terms of skills and personality when assigning a caregiver for your family. However, there can be occasions where a different caregiver might be needed. Imperial Caregivers conducts periodic follow-ups for compatibility reasons. In case you want to change a caregiver, we will do so at no charge.

Do licensed and Registered Nurses provide in-home care services?

Caregivers and Registered Nurses provide In-home care services such as Companionship, Homemaking, and Personal Care. Live-in Caregivers have the necessary skills and experience to best serve the client’s needs.

What if my regular caregiver is unavailable?
If your regular in-home caregiver is unavailable, the Client Care Coordinator will arrange another caregiver and will contact you. Our goal is to ensure that home care services are provided as expected.

Billing & Insurance FAQs

How much does in-home care cost?

Please contact your local office directly for a complete list of rates for home care services available. 

Does insurance cover the costs of the in-home care services Imperial Caregivers provide?
  • Long Term Care Insurance policies. Other insurance policies may cover the cost.
  • Other sources of coverage may include private/self pay, auto accident insurance. Worker’s Compensation Insurance, Veteran Affairs, and various religious or social service organizations.
  • MedicAid may offer some coverage to those who are Medicaid-eligible. We currently don’t accept MedicAid
Are there any hidden costs?
We never charge additional costs or fees. If there are changes, we always notify our clients well ahead of time.
Do I have to sign a contract for services?
We never lock you into a contract. It’s an agreement for services and you are free to terminate it with proper notice – no questions asked. Our goal is to provide the best possible home care service.
